He has a message for all the GADIG members.

My name is Mike Gagnon, and I am currently finishing a Flash video game called Road Blocks 2. It is the sequel to my game Road Blocks, which can be found by Googling the title. The original Road Blocks game has fared extremely well on the Internet (millions of downloads) and I expect Road Blocks 2 to exceed the original in both quality and popularity. I am aiming to self-publish Road Blocks 2 by the end of February. The only thing left to do before publication is create more levels. Right now I have designed ~50 levels and I would like to have another ~50 levels for a total of 100 levels. I am inviting members of GADIG (or any student at George Mason University) to help me create levels for Road Blocks 2. I am also asking for help from any students who would like to design art and/or Flash animations to Road Blocks 2.

If you are interested in designing high-quality levels for a high-quality game please come to a Road Blocks interest meeting. I have tentatively scheduled two meetings, one on this Friday (Feb 2) at 2:00 pm, and one on next Friday (Feb 9) at 6:00 pm. Meeting location will be determined soon and emailed shortly. If you are thinking about coming, please send me an email at mgagnon1@gmu.edu so I can have an idea of how many people to expect. If you are interested, but none of the meeting times work for you, please send me an email so we can schedule a one-on-one meeting together.
At the Road Blocks interest meeting, I will demo Road Blocks 2 and let others have a play. I will then discuss how to make levels for Road Blocks 2. I will give high-level design advice as well as a tutorial on using the level editor. I will also distribute CD's that contain a beta version of Road Blocks 2 along with the level editor and sample levels.

Thanks! I hope to see you at one of the meetings!

Mike Gagnon http://www.mikegagnon.com/

First Meeting of the Year

When: Wednesday, January 31, 2007 @ 4:00 PM
Where: SUB II Rooms 3 & 4
What: Talking about leadership positions that are open, Future events and opportunities.
Why: Cuz you care.
